The 'nominating committee is tasked to research members for different positions in the new board, that will be voted in on the first Annual Meeting of the organisation once it is being formed. Members of that Nominating Committee is tasked with finding people, and interviewing nominees for different positions within the governing part of the organisation, like accountant (which is required), board members, secretaries, president/chair. The members of the nominating committee are not to be nominated or accepting of a role in the board proposal, this is a way to make them unbiased.
Any members of the organisation (who joined at the first meeting and alt. signed their name on the bill, or joined through the process) have the right to nominate members for the future board. It’s the nominating committee’s job to take the time to make sure that the board is diverse (as per our bylaws), and the wants of the organisation. They can either suggest it as a whole board for nomination, that we can vote yes or no on, or we can vote on different people for the roles. Usually the nominating committee, who should have the trust of the organisations members, would present a while board for nomination, as they will also look at things like “can these people actually work together”. Some roles like a president/spokesman may be worth having more than one nomination prepared that the members can vote for.
We don't yet have a nominating committee, and because we haven't decided on our organisation structure yet (see Agendas/2018-07-08), we may not need one.

- Will we have/need a nominating committee?
This will become clear when we have chosen an organisational structure. (see Agendas/2018-07-08)
- Should @Laurelai@mastodon.starrevolution, @firstname.lastname@example.org and @PaulFerence@awoo.space as de facto leaders of Fork Together be allowed in the nominating committee?
To be voted on at Agendas/2018-07-08.
